Dress Code

  • Girls in all levels are to wear footed pink tights, pink ballet slippers and the leotard color/style selected for your class level. All girls are strongly recommended to have at least one black leotard for master classes with outside instructors, auditions and special events.  Leotards are to be worn on the outside of your tights unless during partnering.
  • Pre-professional dancers may wear any color leotard during normal class days unless instructed differently by your instructor or director.
  • The leotard colors for each level are pre-selected and may be purchased with a 10% discount at:
On Pointe Dancewear at 2113 Central Ave, St. Petersburg.
  • Hair requirements are that all girls with longer hair have it up in a tightly secured bun. Girls with their hair not secured properly and neatly will not be allowed to take class. Our dancers are expected to take pride in their appearance at all times when representing the SPBC.
  • Boys are to wear plain, white shirts with either black tights or shorts and black ballet shoes.

NOTES

  • Upon arriving at the center each day, all students are required to be fully dressed in cover-up clothing to cover their dancewear. When stepping outside the building or observing from the deck or student lounge, cover-up clothing is expected to maintain your professionalism.
  • The above requirements are non-negotiable, however, warm-up clothing may be acceptable, based on instructor discretion.
