I grew up in a family of dancers where this beautiful art form has been a shared passion for many decades. I danced ballet professionally for twenty years and have been teaching and choreographing for more than fifteen years.
My philosophy is that dancers should be diverse. Gathering as much information about other forms of dancing and other forms of art will only make their education more full and well-rounded. I know I can teach anyone to dance and learn a sequence of steps, but my most desired part of the process is making dancers truly believe they can dance. I enjoy mentoring and guiding students which can be extremely beneficial in their career and education. I also know that the most important part of a dancer's career will begin with their training. I am always eager for opportunities to learn from new artists and leaders, and to acquire new ways of passing on the love of art to any student.
I am confident that we will become something great at the St. Petersburg Ballet Conservatory. Thank you for taking the time to view my information and I hope you will consider joining us for our inaugural season.
As a native of Venezuela, began dancing at the age of 15. Received Cuban training from Jose Parez, Karemia Moreno, Elena M. Vera, and Julio Lamas. After only four years of training, received first contract at the National Ballet of Caracas. Within two years, was invited to join the National Ballet Of Venezuela as a principal dancer. At the age of 21, he was offered a contract to dance in the USA. Here he danced most of career as a professional dancer. Now he is a teacher, choreographer, and guest faculty member with numerous schools and companies.
